Eppington Holiday Outing was Great!

Our Eppington outing was a fantastic success.  We toured the plantation grounds and house on a beautiful, sunny December Sunday afternoon.  Mr. Brian Trusey of Chesterfield Country was kind enough to come in on a Sunday and show us around.  Vinny's restaurant was the scene of a large festive lunch afterwards.  If you missed this outing, watch the newsletter for future get-togethers and join the fun.

Thanks for Making the First Farm Fest a Success

Our fall festival was a lot of fun. Many families attended and brought guests to enjoy a day of fun and games, not to mention wonderful goodies during the cookout. Thank you to everyone for coming and supporting our open house. Congratulations to all who won door prizes. Many local businesses donated items to help make our party even more fun. The silent auction items were aggressively bid on. Champion Saddlery, Ahead of Hair, Cross Creek Nursery, The Visual Arts Center of Richmond, Topeka's, Tractor Supply, and Frito Lay contributed items. Thank you to all of these generous donors.
Many volunteers also contributed countless hours, items and funds to help make it all come together and run smoothly. Special thanks go to Ray and Kim Kidd, Frank and Joyce Glover, Ruth and Price Johnson, Michael Johnson, Aileen Thwaites, Kathy Kreutzer, Kerri Fogleman, Ed and Sheri Harabedian, Pam Rasnake, Sally Kemp, Chrissy Pagani, Helen, Ashley, Helena, Taylor, Ann Turner, Laura, Rachel, Tessa, Liza, Sarah, Emily, Elizabeth, Margaret, Scott, Stephanie, and Leah.

Welcome to all of our new clients!  We look forward to seeing you at the farm often.   Welcome to Monique, a beautiful Pony who is wonderful to ride!

Congratulations to the Puckett/LaPolla family on the purchase of Grace and the Denicourt family on the purchase of Axel!   And Ashley Rasnake is now the proud owner of Rocket!

Roxie and Winn-Dixie are moving to Suffolk County to live with two little girls near the beach.  Elliott will have a new job as a companion to Jenette Lineberger’s new pony.   We wish these great horses lots of love in their new homes.

Congratulations to Callie on starting her new life up in Warrenton.  Best of luck to her as she starts her show career with her new little girl.

Balanced Riding Clinics on November 11th Were Great!

Thanks and congratulations to the 18 participants in Luanne's first clinic at Willow Springs' new location on Sunday, November 11 in the beautiful sunshine. Two separate classes were filled with riders who wanted to learn how ride more in tune with their horses. Many participants were amazed to learn that small adjustments in their positions produced such drastic results in the way that they ride. One rider commented that she was reluctant to move after Luanne had repositioned her for fear of going back to her old ways! Many of us felt that same way, but with practice, and of course, attendance in the next clinic, we will all be mastering our new knowledge. Watch the bulletin board for dates and times. Riding at Willow Springs can be addictive! Share the fun with friends and family. All are welcome to attend and riders may bring their own horses with a current coggins.
